Hill training - nice distraction

New week, getting closer to knowing what the future holds for us! On Friday Night we will have the CT - scan that will provide us (2 weeks later) with an indication of the size of the tumor and a green/red light on the surgery. Difficult to endure , but nothing we can do rather than just being here in the moment.

I decided to cycle to and from work as a warming up this morning and go for a hill workout.

The hill training was fun and successful as I set my goal on running the entire hour rather than power hiking the steepest hills. It felt great, especially when realizing that I only started the hill workouts again 8 days ago (after months). Compared to 8 days ago, I did the same time on the feet, same elevation gains but closed 700 more meters in the same time. Which should mean that if I can back in my routine I can build from here to >1500m elevation gains rather quick.

Despite the sun, the morning dew and yesterday’s rain had made the steepest hill a slippery affair. I was glad to wear my trail shoes but even with those I had to be careful. The temperature was with 13C perfect as the hills will get your body temperature up very quickly so the autumn weather helped to cool me down in a nice way.

Happy running
