After the excitement of yesterday's eclipse it is back to running this morning. It is due to hit 35C here today, but it was under 20C when I was out before breakfast.

After the excitement of yesterday's eclipse it is back to running this morning. It is due to hit 35C here today, but it was under 20C when I was out before breakfast.
I went back to the local hill for a workout I have done many times. My standard sprint is from the first road hump to the bollards where the road part ends that is about 300m with a bit of a rise. I think I set that as a Strava segment so I can see how I have done over time. My fastest efforts were six years ago and I am not sure if I can get back to that pace, but I will keep trying.
Today was not too bad and I did six rather than the usual five sprints. The last one was actually the quickest. I was taking it very easy on the way back down. I saw plenty of people passing by including one of my parkrun friends.
There are some new planters outside the WI hall that are flowering nicely. I assume someone is watering those as there has been hardly any rain recently. We are predicted to have some next week. I do want it dry on Sunday as I have an outdoor gig with @themoonshots. It should not be quite so hot as today will be then.
Happy Thursday and run free!
