What is Sev?

Sev is crunchy and spicy, deep fried snacks made from gram flour. There are two types of sev Thick sev and thin sev. I have used thick one which i bought from Rajasthan. And in Rajasthan the thick one is used more in household. We can get these sev at any local shops or market.

In my Today's blog I am sharing a Recipe ofsev tamatar curry. This is Rajasthani dish packed with the flavours of tangy tomatoes, greenchili, and crunchy sev. This sev Tamatar curry is famous in Gujrat also. But that is slightly different than Rajasthani curry. In Gujrat it is slightly sweet than this one. It tastes great with Chapati/roti/paranthas and plain rice. But make sure to serve it immediately because they became soggy soon. This is perfect dish for meals.
