It rains on Caracas and its Metropolitan Area, so the electricity service fails intermittently ... To think that in Venezuela, a few years ago this was not the case, but in short, you cannot live with memories, in my case at least not It is so, if he were a historian of the contemporary period, maybe if he lived on the memories of a few years ago.

The rainy weather does not displease me personally, although it brings me unpleasant memories of landslides, river overflows, flooding of houses and, the worst memory of all, is that of the Vaguada de la Guaira in 1999, that event that despite The name affected many localities, but in the case of La Guaira, the level of destruction and death shown by the media made one feel that this was similar to the explosion of a volcano or a Great Earthquake.

Time makes one get used to everything, even if the pain of losses never goes away, as the brain seems to adjust so that pain is something to live with, after all, in most people who I know the survival instinct is strong and if our mind was engulfed in the suffering of loss and death, then we would not have survived until the present. Some say that clinging to life by hanging in hell is an act of courage, others say that ending everything to stop suffering is an act of courage ... I do not know what the correct answer is and I will not discuss it, every Life is unique and the decisions made by those who live it are things that they may never fully understand.

For my part, I cling to life, although I do not deny that I have had Episodes, which is what the person who gave me treatment called it, in which my head was not very well and I did some crazy things that could put my life at risk, but when I am in my right mind, I am a type quite fearful of death and very determined to survive, and then, if things improve, then I would be delighted to live a quiet life. I suppose that will be the case for several people, here we settle for surviving one day at a time and we try to maintain the hope that one day we can actually live.

Already the electricity went out for a moment while I was writing and I have had to take back the entry of this blog, it is better that I hurry before they leave me without electricity again. Let's say I'm fine, at least better than people who have their homes flooded, destroyed by mud, or a tree or pole near their home has fallen. I have how to cook inside the house, that leaves me better than those who have the wood stove in the patio ... to think that a few years ago we had domestic gas as a normal service in our cities and that the political and administrative decisions of the government destroyed to the companies that commercialized domestic gas, well, it is better that you do not remember that much at this time.

My number of publications these days has been lower, but it is because I have spent hours without service and when the service returns I still have to wait for the data signal to be restored to connect to the Internet, in short, this affects my production and that. It lowers my income expectations, which brings me an additional concern, because, as is the situation of my salary, I am surviving more with tips than with my formal economic income. I can only pray that the situation works better and that is ironic, because I am usually a bit atheist, but as an old saying went 'in the trenches, under the bullets, even atheists pray'.
