Spring roll pastry is often the go-to snack at home. I toss tofu with vegetables, but with this pastry, I often stock up on spring roll pastry. I was hungry yesterday and wanted a crunchy snack, so I came up with the idea of making these rolled chips.

The combination of spring roll pastry and chili and lime leaves creates a different sensation, in my opinion. It's like enjoying the recently viral dry seblak, only with more MSG and other flavorings. So, to minimize these, I'm going to try making this delicious homemade snack. Here are the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

10 spring roll pastry sheets
5 lime leaves
3 red chilies
1 tablespoon flour
Sufficient water
Sufficient salt
¼ teaspoon mushroom stock

Mix the water and flour together until thickened.

This simple spring roll pastry snack is ready to serve. It's savory and spicy from the chopped chilies. The aroma of the kaffir lime leaves is very fragrant, complemented by the aroma of the garlic, which is truly fragrant. The most interesting thing is the crunchy texture, similar to those spicy chips you buy in a package.

I store it in an airtight container because it makes a lot and won't be finished in one go. I usually enjoy this dish with warm white rice—it's truly delicious. However, the downside of this snack dish is that it is a bit oily, maybe next time I will try baking it, it seems like it won't be bad at all.
