Today I had a lot of leftover cabbage in the fridge, usually I eat it simply boiled as a side dish to meat, but today I decided to make a particular dish, Sicilian stewed cabbage, a tasty, healthy and low-calorie dish, with antioxidant properties and a great natural aid to blood pressure.

You need :

500 grams of white cabbage
500 ml of tomatoes sauce
4 spoon of oil extra virgin
400 ml of water
Two spoon of salt
One spoon of nutmeg

First clean the cabbage, remove the outer leaves and then cut the cabbage into strips, prepare a large pan with the oil and fry the cabbage for about three minutes, then add the tomato sauce and mix for 5 minutes than add slowly the water and the salt and mix slowly for 25 minutes, than the cabbage will be ready, add the nutmeg and serve it in a big bowl .
It's really tasty and healthy a perfect winter dish warm and help you against the flu!!
