Hello friends! For this new edition of the weekly splinterlands art contest I bring you the fan art of the Ice Pixie card.
The temperature of Azmar茅's Frozen Hell has been gradually but steadily increasing for the last ten years, since the salt sickness has taken hold there. The Ice Shelf itself is not in any imminent danger of melting, nor is the Palace of the Frost Giant, but new, mischievous creatures of the ice have been emerging from the melted cracks. These Ice Pixies have apparently been frozen for many lifetimes, simply awaiting a warmer season to make their escape. Once free, Ice Pixies play like warp speed children throughout the Splinterlands, making a real mess of the natural world.
La temperatura del Infierno Helado de Azmar茅 ha ido aumentando de forma gradual pero constante durante los 煤ltimos diez a帽os, desde que la enfermedad de la sal se ha instalado all铆. La Plataforma de Hielo en s铆 no corre peligro inminente de derretirse, ni tampoco el Palacio del Gigante de Hielo, pero de las grietas derretidas han ido surgiendo nuevas y traviesas criaturas del hielo. Al parecer, estos duendecillos de hielo han estado congelados durante muchas vidas, simplemente esperando una estaci贸n m谩s c谩lida para escapar. Una vez libres, los duendecillos de hielo juegan como ni帽os a velocidad de v茅rtigo por todas las Tierras Astilladas, convirtiendo el mundo natural en un aut茅ntico caos.
Creative Process | Proceso Creativo
馃憠 Para Ice Pixie, he creado un pixel art, comenc茅 por crear un boceto, el cual les presento a continuaci贸n.
馃憠 For Ice Pixie, I created a pixel art, I started by creating a sketch, which I present below.
馃憠 Una vez que tengo el boceto listo, procedo al proceso de coloreado. Primero aplico una base de color, trabajando con tonos muy claros y siguiendo la paleta de colores del personaje original. Luego, coloreo la piel y aplico un sombreado suave. En este caso, la iluminaci贸n no fue necesaria, ya que comenc茅 con un color de base muy claro.
馃憠 Once I have the sketch ready, I proceed to the coloring process. First I apply a base color, working with very light tones and following the color palette of the original character. Then, I color the skin and apply a soft shading. In this case, lighting was not necessary, since I started with a very light base color.
馃憠 Siguiendo con el coloreado de los ojos, los cuales pint茅 en diferentes tonalidades de azul, ya que el color azul juega un papel muy importante en esta ilustraci贸n.
馃憠 Continuing with the coloring of the eyes, which I painted in different shades of blue, since the color blue plays a very important role in this illustration.
馃憠 Lo mismo con el coloreado de los labios y el cabello, aunque para el cabello el color azul lo us茅 para las sombras y lo dem谩s qued贸 de color blanco.
馃憠 The same with the coloring of the lips and hair, although for the hair the blue color I used for the shadows and the rest was white.
馃憠 Ya solo restaba pintar todo lo que era la ropa del personaje y las alas.
馃憠 All that was left to do was to paint the character's clothes and wings.
馃憠 Y para finalizar le agregu茅 un fondo que representa un ambiente helado, con nubes, nieve y sombras de arboles a la distancia.
馃憠 And finally I added a background that represents an icy environment, with clouds, snow and shadows of trees in the distance.
