Hello, how are you? I can feel the summer is coming. Whenever I go out to just grab something, the sunlight stings so much it's unbearable. Nothing is affordable right now, especially food, so whenever I can, I cook something budget-friendly that feeds 5 people. Sometimes, when my brother and I are the only people eating at lunch, I cook something simple that fills you up. But sometimes I am so lazy I sleep through lunch LOL or make myself busy, which is true, I am so focused that I cannot track my time right.

One dish that is always on my mind is Sarciadong Itlog, which is a sauteed tomato cooked with garlic, onion, and egg. Season it with all-in-one seasoning and ground pepper, and done! Simple and delicious food. This is one of my comfort foods and a fast food.

Ingredients I Used:

0.JPG

  • 3 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 White Onion
  • 5 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. Fish Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper
  • 1 tsp. All-in-one Seasoning
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 stalk Onion Chive

Let's Cook!

In a hot pan, I pour 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Then I am going to sautee these aromatics.

I sautee them for about a minute or until the aroma comes out.

The next ingredient I sauteed is the tomatoes. I used to cook the tomatoes first, but I guess cooking the aromatics first is better LOL.

Mix time to time until the texture turns into a mushy, you know that the tomatoes are already cooked.

For better taste, I added about a teaspoon of fish sauce. Let that fish sauce seep into the tomatoes for about half a minute while mixing them.

12.JPG

For a kick of spice, I added about a 1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper.

Mix everything all together until well combined. Make sure the heat is medium-high.

16.JPG

Then I added the scrambled egg seasoning with all-in-one seasoning, and I added about a teaspoon.

Set the heat to high, mix all together, if the egg forms into scrambled, set the heat to medium heat and continue stirring until well-cooked.

I like my sarciado dry. If you want a watery texture, stop cooking it.

22.JPG

I like to garnish it with chopped onion chives.

The plate gives extra beauty to the food.
