"Learning to say 'No'" is a phrase I've heard countless times; I think I've learned it to some extent, but I haven't taught it to my son. Now the task is to instill it in him firmly so that the same thing—or something worse—doesn't happen to us again because he doesn't know how to say no in time.
I have some very smart and curious kids, and because of the electricity crisis we’re experiencing in our country, my oldest son figured out a way to extend our home’s internet power supply using a motorcycle battery to get around the blackouts. It worked so well that he helped neighbors and relatives stay connected, and everyone chipped in to pay the monthly service bill.
Well, a close friend found out about this and asked him to try the same thing for him. He brought the battery and the cable, but the polarity was reversed. My son was hesitant but, not wanting to say no and look bad, agreed to connect it to our router. As soon as he did, the device started smoking, and something inside burned out—and the mistake left us all without a signal.
We spent more than 24 hours cut off from the outside world, and well, we had to use money set aside for other expenses to deal with the emergency, having to choose between buying a new device or repairing it.
We went downtown to look for options; the prices were outrageous. Just as we were about to buy one, an honest salesman saw a photo of our device and warned us that it wouldn’t work for us, since it was a model exclusive to our service provider. He even recommended a technician himself, and we walked several blocks until we found the place.
The repair took a while because the technician was busy; we had to wait, and by the time he finished, it was late afternoon, almost evening. As we walked quickly back, I noticed some very strange clouds in the sky, blocking the sun. I took the opportunity to snap a few photos, and I saw an impressive figure in the image I’m sharing with you here. Do you see the same thing I do?
Leave me your comments on what shape you see in the cloud. I appreciate your support and your valuable time. See you next time.
