Septiembre fue un mes bastante foodie, no solo porque preparé cosas nuevas, visité nuevos lugares como bodegones o un restaurante, sino que también regresé a comer en un sitio que siempre había sido un deleite para mí. La comida en el lugar era deliciosa, ubicado en un hermoso lugar del Paseo Colón, con vista a la bahía y el servicio era de buena calidad.
September was quite a foodie month, not only because I prepared new things, and visited new places like markets or a restaurant, but also because I went back to eat at a place that had always been a delight for me. The food at the place was delicious, located in a beautiful spot on Paseo Colon, overlooking the bay and the service was of good quality.
Sin embargo lo visité algunas semanas atrás solo para ver que ha decaído bastante, por eso quise hacer esta disertación sobre la importancia de la comida y el servicio en un restaurante. Luego de vivir esta experiencia foodie, estuve largo rato preguntándome sobre el balance que debe existir entre la buena comida de un lugar y el buen servicio del mismo. ¿Nos hace volver a un lugar solamente el sabor de la comida? ¿Debe existir una buena atención al cliente para que deseemos volver a un lugar? ¿Volvería a un sitio donde no he sido bien atendida solo por su buena comida?

After living this foodie experience, I spent a long time wondering about the balance that should exist between good food in a place and good service. Bocados Grill había ido en varias oportunidades y la comida siempre me había parecido excelente, las hamburguesas tienen un buen tamaño, tanto así que casi nunca puedo llegar a comerla toda, así que siempre hay un para llevar (la mitad de la hamburguesa) cuando visito este lugar, respecto al sabor de la comida considero que ha mantenido su calidad, las porciones siguen siendo generosas y los buenos sabores están allí, muy presentes, sea que prefieras la hamburguesa de carne (tipo smash) o pollo, seguramente el sabor te va a gustar.

Bocados Grill had been there on several occasions and the food had always seemed excellent, the burgers have a good size, so much so that I can almost never get to eat it all, so there is always a to go (half of the burger) when I visit this place, regarding the taste of the food I consider that it has maintained its quality, the portions are still generous and the good flavors are there, very present, whether you prefer the beef burger (smash type) or chicken, surely you will like the taste.
Si bien los sabores son de 10, lamentablemente ya no puedo decir los mismo del servicio, puesto que ha desmejorado mucho, no se siente la buena energía que emanaba en el lugar, no llevan la carta a la mesa como un bonito detalle para el cliente, al momento de hacer el pedido no hay una sonrisa en el rostro de la cajera. Muchas personas que trabajan en atención al cliente no se imaginan la importancia de dibujar una sonrisa en el rostro mientras atienden a un cliente.
While the flavors are 10, unfortunately, I can no longer say the same about the service, since it has deteriorated a lot, you do not feel the good energy that emanated in the place, they do not bring the menu to the table as a nice detail for the customer, at the time of ordering there is no smile on the face of the cashier. Many people who work in customer service do not imagine the importance of drawing a smile on the face while serving a customer.
El lugar tiene una vista preciosa, lista para ser apreciada, pero lamentablemente algo pasó con su atención al cliente, quizá ya tienen clientes fijos que hacen sus compras para llevar, pues la calidad de la comida sigue siendo excepcional y con eso les basta, intuyo que la gerencia no se toma el tiempo de supervisar el servicio, tal vez el resultado en ventas les basta. La calidad del producto hace que el lugar se mantenga a flote.
Por mi parte considero que ya no es una experiencia encantadora comer en ese sitio, también noté que el mobiliario luce desgastado en algunas zonas, por ejemplo, las etiquetas que adornaban las mesas estan roídas.
The place has a beautiful view, ready to be appreciated, but unfortunately, something happened with their customer service, maybe they already have regular customers who make their purchases to go, because the quality of the food is still exceptional and that's enough for them, I suspect that the management does not take the time to monitor the service, maybe the result in sales is enough for them. The quality of the product keeps the place afloat.
I consider that it is no longer a charming experience to eat in that place, I also noticed that the furniture looks worn in some areas, for example, the labels that adorned the tables are gnawed.
Pienso que es lamentable que los pocos sitios agradables y con buenos sabores que existen en mi ciudad, pierdan su calidad en atención al cliente en tan poco tiempo.
Luego de poner estas ideas en texto, llego a la conclusión que la comida y el servicio en un lugar deben tener el mismo peso, ambas deben ser excelentes para que la experiencia gastronómica llene todos nuestros sentidos, no basta con tener buena comida en la mesa si el servicio no es bueno, tampoco bastará que el servicio sea extraordinario si la comida no posee sabores exquisitos.
