Sopa de lagarto de res. Te enseño a prepararla paso a paso.[ESP-ENG]🥩🥣

Feliz noche amigos. Hoy quiero hacer mi entrada al segundo concurso organizado por @sirenahippie y en este segundo concurso nos pidió hacer una sopa. Yo decidí hacer una sopa de lagarto(carne) es realmente increíble como una comida te puede transportar al pasado. Nosotros somos de la isla de margarita y había pensado en hacer una sopa de pescado que es algo muy típico de aquí. Pero yo prefiero la sopa de carne y pues quién se puede resistir a está sopa tan deliciosa.

Good night friends. Today I want to make my entry to the second contest organized by @sirenahippie and in this second contest he asked us to make a soup. I decided to make a beef lizard soup, it is really incredible how a meal can transport you to the past. We are from the island of Margarita and I had thought of making a fish soup that is something very typical here. But I prefer meat soup and who can resist this delicious soup.

Al hacer está sopa me recuerda a mi niñez. Cuando todos los domingos se reunían mis hermanos, mi papá y hacíamos está sopa a leña en el frente de la casa.

Making this soup reminds me of my childhood. When my brothers and my dad met every Sunday and we made this wood-fired soup in the front of the house.

Para hacer está sopa necesitamos:

• 2.500 kilogramos de lagarto de res.
• 4 kilogramos de verdura (auyama, yuca, ocumo)
• 3 maíz.
• 2 cebollas.
• 1 cabeza de ajo.
• celery.
• cilantro.
• 10 litros de agua.

To make this soup we need:

• 2,500 kilograms of beef lizard.
• 4 kilograms of vegetables (pumpkin, yucca, squash)
• 3 corn.
• 2 onions.
• 1 head of garlic.
• celery.
• coriander.
• 10 liters of water.

La esencia de está sopa fue prepararla a leña. Así que hoy no estuvimos en la cocina. Mi mamá fue la encargada de prender el fuego y colocamos la olla, una olla bastante grande con el agua para que esta se comience a calentar.

The essence of this soup was to prepare it with wood. So we weren't in the kitchen today. My mother was in charge of lighting the fire and we put the pot, a large enough pot with the water so that it begins to heat up.

Cuando vemos que ya nuestra agua va a comenzar a hervir es momento de agregar la carne.

When we see that our water is about to boil, it is time to add the meat.

Ahora vamos a cortar las cebollas, celery, cilantro y cabeza de ajo. El celery y cilantro no coloque cantidad pero nosotras le colocamos bastante. Yo diría que entre los dos pueden ser entre 400 o 500gr, esto le aporta bastante sabor a nuestra sopa.

Now we are going to cut the onions, celery, coriander and head of garlic. The celery and coriander do not add quantity but we add a lot. I would say that between the two they can be between 400 or 500gr, this adds a lot of flavor to our soup.

Es momento de agregar esto a la sopa y tapamos y dejamos cocinar.

It is time to add this to the soup and cover and let it cook.

Ahora vamos a pelar y cortar la verdura. Luego de cortar la verdura la lavamos bien.

Now we are going to peel and cut the vegetables. After cutting the vegetables we wash it well.

La verdura la vamos a colocar a nuestra sopa cuando la carne ya se este ablandando. Aquí agregue la verdura, no fue fácil agregarla porque el humo no me dejaba abrir bien los ojos.

We are going to place the vegetables in our soup when the meat is already softening. Here I added the vegetables, it was not easy to add it because the smoke did not let me open my eyes wide.

Aquí pueden ver cómo se ve la sopa cuando agregamos la verdura y también agregamos la sal. Tapamos y dejamos cocinar.

Cuando nuestra verdura está bien cocida es hora de bajar nuestra sopa del fuego. Aquí pueden ver cómo tenemos una sopa más espesa y ojalá pudieran oler lo deliciosa que está.

When our vegetables are well cooked it is time to lower our soup from the heat. Here you can see how we have a thicker soup and wish you could smell how delicious it is.

Ahora es momento de servir la sopa.

Now is the time to serve the soup.

Está sopa me gusta acompañarla con un poco más de cilantro, limón y casabe.

I like to accompany this soup with a little more coriander, lemon and cassava.

Con esta cantidad de sopa comimos aproximadamente 15personas y algunos repitieron. Pero es que está sopa es muy sabrosa. Recuerdo que cuando era niña no me gustaba mucho la sopa ya que en casa hacían sopa casi todos los fines de semana.

With this amount of soup we ate approximately 15 people and some repeated. But this soup is very tasty. I remember that when I was a child I did not like soup very much since at home they made soup almost every weekend.
