Ingredients.
- 400 grams of glutinous rice.
- 200 grams of mushrooms (anything-i used dried shiitke mushrooms).
- 1 tablespoons of butter.
- Salt, black pepper, soy sauce, vegetable oil.
- 10 shallots (thinly sliced-for dried onion).
- 400 grams of meat wool (i will write about this in other post).
Instructions.
- Soak the glutinous rice with warm water for at least 3 hours, drain and rinse well until the water is clear.
- Mix well the soaked rice with 2 teaspoons of salt. And steam it for about 30 minutes (stirring occasionaly).
- Soak the mushrooms with hot water for about 15 minutes, drain and rinse well and cut it into small pieces.
- Meanwhile, prepare the dried onions: Heat vegetable oil in the frying-pan, add sliced shallots, fry well until lightly golden, set aside.
- Heat butter in the frying-pan, add the mushrooms, stir-fry well for a minute. Then add salt and soy sauce to taste. Final is add black pepper.
- When the glutinous rice is cooked, mix well the sticky rice with stir-fried mushrooms and steamed again for about 3 minutes. Set aside.
- Serve with fried onions, soy sauce and meat wool (meat floss).
PS: if you are a vegetarian, you can use mushroom floss instead of meat wool (meat floss).
