It all happened so fast, which is why the composition isn't great, but at least I managed to grab the shot before he vanished behind the pillar. I was hoping to catch him right in the middle for better symmetry, but I only had a fraction of a second. I also chopped off a bit of his foot and hand.
In hindsight, it was actually impossible to get the shot I wanted. If he had been in the middle, he wouldn't have been in 'full stride', which is the preferred moment in street photography. Also, I've learnt not to be too upset about chopping off bits of anatomy - it happened to the street photography greats all the time :)
Finally, do you see the guy in the shadows holding a can of drink and checking his phone? Once you see it, you can't unsee it. LOL.
