# Music To My Ears **A GREAT NEW OPPORTUNITY, COFFEE AND STREAMING MUSIC**

The email arrived bang in the middle of the day yesterday, and I would have normally missed such an email, but I looked and OMG! I couldn't believe my eyes. It was something I'd hoped and wished for, for the post 12 months and here it is. I'm not going to say what it is right now, but I will no doubt post about it in the near future. I spent most of the daylight researching and designing, and went to bed in the wee hours of the morning - around 2:30 am. I had little sleep since, even in my dreams, I was *working* on the new opportunity. Hahaha. Needless to say, I'm pretty fired up.

Good news, though, is that I did get out for a walk, even if it was cold and not so pleasant. I found some good meditative focus music to help me block out distractions. As it happens, while walking is when I get a lot of my good ideas. Also in the shower. LOL. I felt like Neo in the Matrix with my eyes open and able to see into a dimension invisible to most other people walking down the road. What also helped, being a little tired, was a bit of this thing on the left. Coffee. Costa has released these "World Flavours" range of capsules for the Nespresso line. I am currently drinking the "Rich Brazilian Blend" which is actually quite nice. I can only find them in the supermarkets for now so it must be some kind of special release. I can't even see them in Costa shops. I've only also just realised that we can embed shorts here on Hive. I'm using Peakd.com, so sometimes things work on that platform that don't work on the standard Hive.blog condenser. I guess I'll find out once I publish this post :). I have quite a few videos in the Shorts format. I wonder if we can embed a TikTok in here too. Perhaps I'll try that in my next post. It might encourage me to start posting on TikTok again. It's been months since my last posts there. I just got bored of it and the algorithmic echo chamber that gets created really quickly once it figures out what you "like" to see. A lot of fights have started on TikTok that would not have happened otherwise. The algorithm tends to amplify issues way beyond what they are in reality. Talking of focus music, I'm currently using my two months free trial on Apple Music. They offer it once in a while so I clicked *yes* when I saw the notification. I've had Apple Music before, but I preferred the old interface. The new one seems a little weird to me. I've gotten used to Spotify over the years I guess. No music platform comes anywhere near when it comes to interface design, playlists and the variety of music. Apple is probably in second place with Amazon being number 3. I remember the days when these companies went head to head trying to be the number one music streamer. The music companies were forced to work with them, even amidst all the copyright drama, because it was either them or Pirate Bay :). PB took over from Napster and the original MP3.com before it.
