I've been using the Square Card Reader sporadically for a few years and, in this video, I discuss the pros and cons of this device.

I've used it once in a car boot sale where I was selling off a whole load of junk from my storage. It was quite handy back then especially since cash wasn't always handy. Nowadays the average smartphone can probably do everything this thing can do, with one exception - which I address in the video.

There are also much more advanced versions these days, including ones that come with their own connection to the Internet via an inbuilt sim card/e-sim. Those usually come, however, with subscription models that may or may not be feasible/sustainable depending on what the business model is.

This is a relaxed, non-technical, review of this product.
