I was sent this device by the manufacturer to test out and review. I wasn't given any instructions or requirements, just that I share my honest review of it on my social media outlets. So, here we go.

As it happens I was growing tired of the little one I was using which wasn't anywhere near adequate. Unlike this one, the old one has no power supply and relies on the computer to power the devices. This is fine for USB keys, most hard drives, small devices and even some phones. Modern phones, tablets and other larger devices put too much strain on the computer's motherboard and do require an independent power source for safety and reliability.

The Gitfos C1 Pro not only comes with its own 60W power supply, it also allows you to plug in the computer's own power supply for pass-through charging. This is a game changer for my setup. It means I can have that true one-cable plug and play that doesn't strain my macbook.
