Sunday is the most fashionable day here in Aba.
If you step out on any Sunday, you will see it. Young and old, everyone is dressed up. Whether it’s for church service, events, or just a meet up. Sunday is when people bring out their best. It’s the day you see all kinds of styles on the street.
Everyone wants to make a fashion statement. Lol.
So on Sunday, I was walking up the not-too hilly road that leads to my church, St. Ambrose Catholic Church and this guy was walking down. He had apparently just finished from his own service.
The moment I spotted him from afar, I said "holy molly! What a cool dressing." 😂
No doubt, this guy is clearly a Gen Z, but his dressing has this kind of old school vibe— and he really clocked it. Honestly, he ate the look.
And it wasn’t just the clothes. It was the walk. He walked like he took the road as his runway. Like the street was his catwalk. Confident, no stress, two phones in his hands, eyes on one. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone, he was just in his own world, owning his style.
The way he walked would no doubt draw attention on any street he passess. And he did draw mine.
Well, I did what I had to do. I sneaked in photos of him. Couldn't let him just pass by without taking those snapshots. Lol.
As he passed me, I turned and got another shot from behind and I ended up capturing others in the process. But it's still cool.
That's the beauty of Sundays here. The streets often become runways, and passersby; the models.
Have you seen this type of fashion before?
