INTERESTING DAY, TODAY, IN THE GARDEN. I tied up a couple of Spaghetti Squash, gave them some support so that they do not crush under their own weight.
Below Here's a BIG Cherokee Purple Tomato, ready in a couple of days. I am letting it go a few extra days on the vines.
Above Sweet Pepper, with a leaf that was attacked. I ended up clipping that leaf, off.
Below A few more Sweet Bell Pepper. Any day now, they will begin turning colours... first a soft pale yellow, then a deeper Yellow, and finally a deep, darker Red.
Above Honestly, I forgot! I know it's some sort of herb, but who knows what?!?! I guess I will have to wait for it to grow up, and see what surprise I planted here!
Below This is the large Spaghetti Squash I trussed up with some support (before). See all the strain on the vine? I moved the squash up and added some support under, so that it does not accidentally break off before it is ripe.
Above This is it's another shot of some of the Tomato. Perhaps,either Black Tula, or Black Sea Man. Tough to tell and of course, my Labels all bleached out in the sun by now.
Below These are definitely Black Tula Tomato. An old world Russian variety, these are deep dark in colour outside and red and deep purple verigiated stripes, inside.
Oh, and a bonus Monarch Butterfly that landed nearby, and all I got was this fast Phone pic. Next time, I will set up and wait for them, with the good camera.
