Hello, beer lovers! π»
It's too hot here for the first weekend in April. The sun is shining like crazy, it's 25 degrees Celsius outside, a real summer heat. Ideal for quenching your thirst with a beer!
Lucky it's the 353rd #beersaturday so I don't need any excuses :)
I have a lot of work to do outside, but when dusk falls I'll have two cans chilling in the fridge. One Scottish and one Slovenian, both IPA. My favourite style of beer and I can't wait!
Brewdog Hazy Jane Guava
Brewed by BrewDog, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Grampian, Scotland.
Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.00 % ABV, IBU 20.
It's Hazy IPA style beer, sometimes also Juicy IPA, American IPA with intense fruit flavors and aromas.
What do the Master Brewers say?
New England decamps to the tropics for a juicy makeover that turns the exotic fruits up to 11 for this hazy IPA with a tropical twist. Guava leads the way with notes of pineapple, mango, and stone-fruit following on. Brewed with oats and wheat and left unfiltered for a fruity smooth journey.

I already tasted Hazy Jane, so I'm curious.
The beer is cloudy yellow, the head is large and persistent. It smells of tropical fruits. The first sip goes down the throat smoothly and I immediately taste the bitterness of the hops and the sweetness of the exotic tropical fruit, I assume it's guava :) and maybe mango. Bitterness and sweetness, are both very intense :)
In the aftertaste, it all disappears quickly.
A very juicy and fruity beer! Maybe a bit more sweet than I expected from an IPA, but still very good. It's a pity it's only available occasionally in the E-Leclerc store, I would have liked to have a can in the fridge.
I'm still struggling with painting the fence :(
Today, in this heat, I started to apply the last coat, a metallic copper-brown and it's going very slowly, I'll probably run out of paint and it'll drag on for another week.
Let's move on, another beer is waiting in the fridge...
Lobik Champion Session IPA
It is brewed by Lobik Craft Brewery, RuΕ‘e, Slovenia.
Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.6% ABV, IBU 27.
It's Session IPA, American style, hop-dominant, and brewed with New World hops varieties.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Champion offers a maximum range of taste while maintaining the lightest and noncomplex body. Its aromas consist of intense notes of lemon and lime and subtle hints of grapefruit. The high amount of citrusy American hops (Citra, Cenntenial) ranks this beer at the top of its style qualification. Dedicated to Soccer Club Maribor.

Aha, now the Maribor football team will be champions!
The beer is clear yellow, and the head is solid and disappears quickly. It smells fruity. A sip goes down the throat quickly, the palate develops hop bitterness with lemon and lime aromas, and I also taste pine.
All the aromas and flavors, including the hop bitterness, slowly fade away in the aftertaste.
A very fresh and juicy. It feels like an IPA with lemony notes. The bitterness is not very pronounced, just enough. It's available in almost all local shops, so some will be in my fridge.
Maybe I was too thirsty and tired, it was a hot afternoon outside, but both beers went down very well. Excellent.
And what am I listening to as I write this and taste the beer? Nothing from my yesterday #newtunes post. In the Twitter timeline, I found the news that @ravenmus1c (Panda Beats) has a new album! Very good to listen to if you're doing something else.
