Ability strategy twitter.png

Introduction

This week we are gone take a look into Dodge.

This is an nice ability and together speed it is very important. Combine this with abilities like dodge flying phase swiftness slow, all these abilities influence the miss calculations, which is since I started the game the imo the single most important in the game.
If they cannot hit you you will not die, unless there are rule set like earthquake or Noxious Fumes

Still of all the abilities mentioned above this is most overlooked in my case.

Ability

Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
+25% chance of evading

Synergies / strategy

Abilities benefits

/ / / / dodge/flying/pahse/swiftness/slow - as mentioned above all these abilities impact the speed difference or add an extra % to the evading chance

Ruleset benefits
Magic Reflect - When this rules is in the mix then there is an higher change on melee and ranged units. There for the extra evading % is very useful

Up Close and Personal / Going the Distance - Only melee/ranged unit therefore maximal usage of the dodge ability

What doesn't kill you - When an dodge unit is enrage the speed difference is increased so this benefits the dodge ability.

My current dodge cards:

With the dodge ability is somewhat difficult to choose, there were two units that I find very useful both have there own situation:

Coeurl Lurker I like to play especially What doesn't kill you rule set.

I choose Chaos Agent as #1 mostly because it is such a cheap mana card so you have many battles where you can add it to as extra unit that sometimes is hard to hit. You can use it as filler/meat shield to protect some other untis.
From all my battle this unit is in the top 5 of units:

Based on my opponents previous battle i think i will go with some magic reflect and magic units myself.

Rulesets

Briar Patch:
Every unit will gain the thorns ability. Thorns will do return damage if attacked and hit by melee unit.

The Lineup

Summoner

CardReason
Because I also go for an magic play Obsidian is the best choice with +1 magic attack.

Monsters Lineup

#1#2#3#4#5#6

Failed Summoner (lvl 1)
I expect some magic units so even mine is only an level 1 I sometimes still play it in gold.

Chaos Agent (lvl 8)
Star of this week I hope the speed phase and dodge will help with some misses.

Regal Peryton (lvl 6)
High damage high speed and high health very useful unit when you want to play an magic setup.

Queen Mycelia (lvl 3)
Main reason is the amplify in combination with the failed summoner with magic reflect.

Goblin Psychic (lvl 8)
Very important healer is to heal any unit that gets in the front. Hopefully the failed summoner also gets healed so it can do more magic reflect damaga.

Djinn Biljka (lvl 3)
With 3 damage and camouflage a sneaky monster in the back that

Lets analyze the line up. as expected an magic setup so the failed summoner will have its affect.
My Chaos Agent is two levers higher so one more health and one more speed 🤞this will make an difference

Will my extra magic damage be enough to kill the double heal of Pelacor Mercenary and Goblin Psychic, if so then it will be an win.

Round 1:

One miss on the chaos agent unfortunately it was not mine I missed the magic reflect has been useful.

Round 2:

Conclusion

With the writing of the post is noticed i very often use the Chaos Agent. Most of the time the dodge is not de deciding factor but every extra evading % is useful to have
