Good Afternoon Donut Fans!
Krispy Kreme brought out Love Hearts donuts this month and I was waiting to see what they were bringing out for Valentine’s day before I decided to get them in. This years Valentine’s Box consisted of two out of the four Love Heart Donuts with a Sprinkled with Love Donut. So first of all I wanted to start with their Sprinkled with Love.
Krispy Kreme - Sprinkled with Love
”Sprinkled with Love Doughnut with a purple sherbet icing and heart-shaped sprinkles.”
This donut looks really pretty with all the hard crunchy fondant hearts on top of the purple sherbet icing. This donut is a Signature Ring donut with the flavoured icing and the heart sprinkles. The icing did have a bit of sherbet flavour in it which I am glad about or it would have been too sweet with the crunchy hearts on top and the sweet glaze on the donut ring. It did look very Romantic.
Krispy Kreme have done a few of these rings with sprinkled hearts on top over the years. I do love them, but maybe to change it up a bit, it might be worth actually having a ring donut shaped like a heart with sprinkles on top. I really think that would look and taste amazing.
