Morning Donutters!
Yesterday I told you about the first Christmas Krispy Kreme donut I had from their new Christmas Collection, Santa Belly. Today I have the second donut of choice. The Ugly Jumper.

Another filled Christmas donut from Krispy Kreme. I haven’t had a festive green donut from them before, so it was nice to see a change. The donut looked really busy though. Like a lot going on. No wonder it was called Ugly Jumper because it is pretty ugly looking. Both my donuts had a picture of a penguin in the middle. Then you have the hard icing pieces of blue, yellow, red and green dots and also white icing for decoration. The green icing on the donut was more set than the one on the Santa Belly, but, it was very sugary. Too much if you ask me. The green icing was thick, and then with the hard sugar coloured dots, the white icing and the fondant penguin was just too much. This donut was supposed to be filled with chocolate and caramel. I did have some, but I ended up eating half of the donut to get to the chocolate filling and then after eating more than 3/4 of the donut did I finally get some caramel. The chocolate was nice and rich in flavour and what little caramel I did have tasted really buttery.
Overall, I wasn’t impressed with this one. Too much icing, not enough centre. It was the same for both of these donuts. My husband has some of the second one and there wasn’t much filling in that one either. I have to say I felt really short changed and I won’t be buying another one of these Ugly Jumper donuts.
