Summer has officially begun. I have a few photos from the last week or so. Starting with an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. And a Spicebush Swallowtail.

I found (ok was taken to) some yellow lady slippers on a recent hike. One of our neighbors shared a yellow lady slipper habitat they check every year. Unfortunately there was evidence of more foot traffic

Trillium wild flowers have come and gone for this season. I got a few photos recently.There are two type in my area. The white with red splashes are Painted Trillium. The other is the solid red Trillium.

Spring wildflowers are blooming! The very popular trillium and lady slippers should be blooming soon but will require some hiking to find them. This lovely white flower is a violet.

Spring is here! So much to do. So exciting to get outside and get to work. My plum trees are blooming. This beautiful young tree was planted last year! Off to a great start.

We had a lovely day today in Vermont! Temperature topped 60F for the first time this spring. Our crocuses (or croci 🤔) opened up again.

Our first crocus opened this week! Lots of bulbs are pushing up through the ground now that the snow is almost completely gone. It reached 60F one day this week. But we do have some more snow in the forecast

Today is my 9th Birthday on Hive 🎉 I've come and gone and then returned a few times. Same with most of us but some of my friends here have always been here when I returned. Its a lovely community.

I got a glimpse of spring on my recent trip. I visited Kansas which is lost in the midwest of the US. But also pretty much in the south. The crab apple trees were already blooming.
