Time for a retrospective. One photo for each month for one year. Actually pretty much the same photo (view) each month. Starting with July.
August from a year ago. Looks like that cedar was trimmed a little better last year lol
September a year ago. A hint of color but probably early in month before colors change.
Pretty close to peak fall colors. The time that New England is famous for 馃檪 thanks to our forests having alot of Maple trees. Probably early October. Boats and docks are usually taken out by the end of October.
Great transition photo of early snow in November when the leaves are still on the trees.
And the deep freeze hits 馃ザ I think the lake was still open in this December photo. You can see open water in the distance.
The lake usually freezes over completely in January. Although I remember Vermont free fishing day which is January 31st the lake wasn't safe for ice fishing.
During the depths of winter, there is a shadow across much of the lake for much of the day as the sun stays low in the sky. This February photo is typical.
March is still frozen depending on how thick the ice gets over the winter and how the temperatures fluctuate.
By April the lake is clear. The pine trees provide some year round green.
Memorial Day is always the goal to get docks back in the lake. But sometimes its aspirational.
June is usually nice. And thats a wrap. Full year.
