I don't remember anyone ever claiming that fear is the key to immortality but the first sentence is true enough. I can think of a few times where justifiable fear can preserve your life but I have seen it cause people to withdraw from living...in a figurative way.
Worrying, to me, is like failing in advance for the most part. Sure there is an element of worry when it comes to risk identification and effective mitigation. Nothing can take away tomorrow's troubles though definitely not worry. In another episode of Zeke Thoughts, we mused upon the notion that suffering the future is just your imagination.
Let's not let our imagination take away today's peace.

Telling the truth can certainly influence our future but a past known for telling the truth would be what most of us would love for ourselves. I think the point of the first sentence is that doing the right thing can be a moment comfortably put in the past.
I have come to know that telling a lie will inevitably cause complications that echo back in the future. Not that I have ever lied! ;) Perhaps is it because I have been on a little past and future kick when focusing upon the present that I like this one so much. A lie will come back to visit you in the future so you may as well just present the truth for good measure...and peace. ;)
The Woodstock reboot was almost 30 years ago?! Terrible Lies!
