No merecemos tanto dolor.
Hi, everyone.

Due to various personal circumstances, I hadn’t been running for at least three weeks. But that’s over now. Today I mustered up the courage and went out for a jog right at noon. But the heat was the least of my obstacles today. Let me give you a quick rundown.
To go for a run, you have to feel physically well, and I’ve been having issues with low blood pressure for a few weeks now. It’s more under control now, but it affects my confidence when I go for a jog, because I’m afraid I’ll feel faint once I start. Fortunately, that didn’t happen today, although I did run at a fairly slow pace—over 7 minutes per kilometer.
On the other hand, the tragedy that struck the country is something that leaves me feeling drained. Although it didn’t affect me directly, it did affect me emotionally—and deeply. It’s as if I’d lost many close relatives. Having to watch, feeling so powerless, as so many people lost their lives or everything they’d worked for really got to me. We don’t deserve this much pain.
Anyway, I had to force myself to go for a run today because, even though I like jogging, I didn’t feel up to it. But I needed to get out, to remind myself that there are still many things to keep me going—there’s a beautiful country that’s worth getting up for every day and fighting for. And also to be grateful for all the things we have, big and small; they’re all valuable and important.
I felt good while running; it helped me let off steam and feel capable of jogging again. We’ll keep going—despite everything—we’ll keep moving forward, and we won’t give up.
