Hi, everyone. Today pretty much sums up my week. After not being able to go out for the first five days of the week, I took advantage of this morning to do so, and it went really well.

At first, it was really hot because the sun was at its peak, so I could only go a little faster for the first 2 kilometers. From there on, I slowed down a bit. But then, all of a sudden, the sky darkened and it poured—a real downpour. Thank goodness I had my phone pouch with me, though that didn’t stop it from getting a little wet.

That’s why my phone turned off, and the last 1,800 meters weren’t recorded properly. Actually, my average pace was about 7 minutes and 30 seconds per kilometer. It did record the distance correctly, though I thought it was longer. By the time I managed to turn it back on, almost an hour had passed since I’d gotten home.

I’m sharing with you the photos I took at the start of the race, because later on, with the cloudy weather and the rain, I decided not to take out my phone to keep it safe.

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate my teammates who will be running in the Caracas Rock race tomorrow. Enjoy it to the fullest and remember that you trained for this. Let’s keep racking up many kilometers of life and happiness.
