I greet you, wishing you wellness.

Today I want to share with you how I have prepared a delicious juice with a super intense color and a powerful flavor that can surely tingle the taste buds of whoever delights while drinking a fascinating blend of strawberries, watermelon, beets and the magic touch of a little lemon.

I am very attracted to juices with reddish tones, however, I confess that beet juice is not on the list of my favorites, I think it is a very invasive flavor that takes all the limelight, however, I love the color it brings and the sweetness it contains, so if it is included in a juice, there is the advantage that the added sugar load is less, or sometimes even unnecessary, depending on the taste and the need of each person.

Watermelon is a rather sweet fruit, so I also included it in the preparation. And to harmonize so much sweetness in a reddish juice, I added strawberries to give it an acid touch.

Also, I added a finishing touch with a couple of ingredients. With some ideas in mind, I improvised a bit, but I'm going to tell you the proportion of ingredients I used so that you don't improvise and if you want to emulate this recipe, it will be as delicious as it was for me.

Ingredients for 3 medium glasses:

  • 1 Small beet.
  • 2 cups of seedless watermelon, cut into pieces.
  • 1 heaping cup of strawberries, washed and without the sepal.
  • 1 lemon.
  • tablespoon of sugar.
  • 1 + 1/4 glass of cold filtered water.

If you wish to garnish the glass, remember to reserve some whole strawberries.

Preparation:

The first thing I did was to remove the seeds from the watermelon and cut it into small pieces until I had 2 cups of watermelon. I reserved.

I removed the shell from the beets, previously washed, cut into small cubes and blended with the water. I strained.

I rinsed the blender cup and added the beet juice, then added the watermelon and blended until both ingredients were integrated. At this point my juice doubled, of course we all know the great amount of water that watermelon has, plus all its nutrients, such as vitamin B, magnesium and potassium.

I added the strawberries and let the blender do its job, integrating all the ingredients very well.

I tasted and, to my taste, a little sweetness was now needed, so I did not hesitate to add a spoonful of sugar.

I tasted again and it was good, however, I felt that something was missing, something like a slight citric touch stronger than that of the strawberry. Immediately, I squeezed a lemon, blended again, tasted and.... Bingo!!!

¡Bingo!
