The Bosque del Apache is a 55,000+ acre wildlife refuge in west central New Mexico that straddles the Rio Grande river.Each winter the refuge is home to thousands of migratory birds including the noisy and gregarious Snow and Ross Geese. Here at the end of the winter season they are getting ready for their long migration back to their summer homes high up in North America.
