Happy Independence Day
Today, Nigeria is celebrating its 66th Independence Day, since we gained our freedom from the British. The day the British flag was brought down was the same day the Nigerian flag was raised. Today we are still standing, enjoying our freedom, peace, and unity.
I am a teacher in one of the biggest schools in Kaduna State and our students decided to celebrate Independence Day in a grand style. A cultural display was made by different tribes, and a quiz competition was carried out, which was very educational and informative about our past leaders and our country. Cultural food was being displayed.
All the classes compete in dancing. They were joyous and excited to dance. One class refuses to dance because they are shy.
Everything went well and was successful.
