It was a very, very, VERY early morning run here on Christmas Eve.
I had a restless night's sleep and was up at 3 AM so I figured I might as well get out for a run under the clear, cold and starry sky. Spotted a shooting star early which was a nice sight (made a wish) and cruised along the dark and empty roads through my usual local neighborhood area. I carried a pair of hand held running lights that I had illuminated on the short sections of dark but busy roads but otherwise I just ran in the dark. Enough lights to make visibility de ent, especially since I could run out in the street.
I thought my overall pace would have ended up faster as my legs felt good but the cold temperatures (just 18 F) wasn't great for speed but it felt good to be done and back inside my RV.
The day remained gray and overcast with the feel of snow throughout the day although none fell (but it remained cold).
I was still able to get in my usual afternoon walk with a nice 4 mile loop to wrap up my Christmas Eve workouts. Hope it's a quiet Christmas day tomorrow. Everyone take care.
