Welcome to Monday Actifiters!
This weekend sure felt busy and went by quickly. The whole family had a little bit of a relaxed Saturday morning and then we went to the archery range. I spent most of the time helping Eliza with a mini bow that we have and didn't get much practice in myself, but it was pretty fun to see her enjoying it. Flip got some decent practice in though and is picking up pretty well where he left off. His bow needs some adjustment though so thankfully his grandpa will be able to take him to get that sorted out today while I'm at work.
I'm thankful that I was able to get up early enough today to go for a run, my goal was 2.5 mi and I fell a little short of that at 2.4. it was a tough run for sure, I felt like the hills were kicking my butt this morning. It until it gets easier 🙂 it was pretty fun though. When I started my run it was dark and the Stars were out. By the time I finished the sun was just starting to rise
Early on in this running journey, I talked about signing up for a race at some point. I haven't done that yet, but I have started looking at some races coming up. I don't think I want to tackle anything more than a 5k at this point since that's about the longest distance I've run, but there are several options for that. So stay tuned. Once I get that figured out. Out. I'm sure I'll update on what race I sign up for and when that is.
As I often try to do, about midday, I knew I needed to get up from my desk and get some steps in. I tried to push it off till a little bit later in the day to break up my day. A little more favorably. But I didn't want to wait too long as it's supposed to be another 100° day today. Anyways. It was starting to get warm but it was definitely nice to to stretch my legs and break up the day.
