Because I am back to the track my fellow runners!
So, starting from today, I am going to recover my running shape since the government has opened a couple of times slots per day in order to allow running.
First time slot is from 6:00 to 10:00 AM , second is from 8:00 to 11:00 PM. Thus, I have 7 hours a day for running!!!!!
Of course, I am not going to kill myself going running all day during the first week, I need some adaptation since what I do not need now is to get injured on the very first day.
So I woke up early this morning and I performed my most awaiting desire these days, running free!
And what I found in the streets has been a massive crowd of citizens, some consistent runners and some others who never went for jogging before, going for running all of them!
So many people that It has been difficult to keep the safe space among us!!!
About my run today, well, it's clear that the lock down has destroyed all my fitness despite I tried to do cardio exercises every day.
I started smooth, keeping 5'/km on the first Km but my legs were used to run faster and soon I have reached an average pace of around 4'30"/km which is not good coming from a long stop period.
After 3.5 km I saw a fountain I decided I had reached the equator of my run, not because my feelings while running but more because I would like to start softly and, as I said, I don't want to get an early injure.
So, I get some watering there and I took a picture of the running crowd behind me.

Then I run back, trying to go slower, but my heart frequency was already set at high revolutions (LOL)... then, I started to feel some expected pains on the legs... tendons, muscles, skin, feet... everysingle cell of my body was suffering...so, I took the right decision turning back home on 3.5 km...

I completed a little more than 40' and a little more than 7.5 km in total, not bad as a starting.

Short term targets of the new season:

  • Gain running shape consistently in a safe manner
  • Reach the first position on the exhaust@exhaust week Rank
  • Resume my posts on runningproject@runningproject initiative

I will be glad to catch the intensity and consistency of some of you, my fellow runners, ervin-lemark@ervin-lemark , argon@argon , steevc@steevc , rthelly@rthelly and run.vince.run@run.vince.run ...

Do you think I will manage?

Keep on running!
