Happy #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay everybody's favorite community! First some flowers to put a little beauty in your day.
I passed this lovely bed of painted daisies at the start of my walk. They were literally buzzing with bees 馃悵
The variety of colors was amazing!
Some have patterns, mostly colored bands or circles.
Some have three colors, most only two.
Next on my stroll was a bed of Rudbeckia. Rudbeckia are commonly called Black Eyed Susans but can be different colors.
Here is a Red on Red Rudbeckia.
Again the variety of color was stunning.
And again the bees were enjoying the flowers - perhaps even more than me if thats possible 馃槉
I walked my normal route down to the lake. It is a gorgeous day. So green with a perfect blue sky. We got a little rain last night which perked everything up.
Lake Dunmore is always beautiful to visit but today was near perfect with the blue skies. Still cool this morning in the 60F's 馃檪. Its going to get up to mid 80F's and be sunny all day. Vermont in the summertime at its best.
As promised in the title, I also did a little foraging today.
I call these wild raspberries. I think they are officially purple flowering raspberries (Rubus odoratus) according to wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubus_odoratus
The berries are very similar in taste and appearance to other raspberries.
Like all raspberries, they are yummy with chocolate 馃構 - homemade chocolate brownies in this case.
I also lucked into some mushrooms. A couple of chantrelles and some black trumpets (also known as black chantrelles). Not a lot but enough for a nice late morning omelette.
I'm obviously back to the house at this point so that's the end of my #wednesdaywalk. Hope you enjoyed my post. Have a great day and get outside 馃尰鈽笍

Flowers with raindrops always #makemesmile 馃檪
