Awesome hike up to Cecret Lake near Alta, Utah in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It was a lovely day, sunny and 30Fs. The hike was 4.5 miles with a 1,210 ft elevation change.

We got our first snow of the year! A light dusting that looks beautiful but was hard to capture 🙁 Here's a few shots for you while I spend the day inside working through my photos from my trip.

Finally Fall Foliage in the Green Mountain foothills of Vermont 😎 I've been enjoying the wait in these cool colorful Adirondack chairs. Colors are getting better!

Got up early today and walked down to the lake to check the fall foliage. This point extending out into the lake was catching the morning sun. The east side of the lake was still in the shadows.

Nice shot of a birch bolete... probably 😅 unless its one of the mushrooms I regularly forage my IDs are iffy. But I had a few good mushroom photos so I thought I would do a post.

Bees on marigolds in the garden. I've been chasing fall foliage colors without much luck. But I found these colorful shots in my waning garden.

I took a walk down to the lake to check the colors. Its overcast again so the colors are muted. But they are there. Hopefully the sun will break through today.

I got some nice reflections photos while out looking for fall colors. These shots are views of Lake Dunmore on the edge of the Green Mountains in Addison County Vermont.

I walked down to the lake today to check out the colors. Its overcast so the colors don't show up great but the lake was flat for some nice reflections.

Got out for a hike in the Green Mountains recently. Hiked along a section on the Long Trail to the Great Cliff Trail and the Brandon Gap overlook. Its a short but steep hike. But the view is really nice.

Sunrise through the woods. Sunrise at my house is usually pretty tame. The sun first has to get over the mountains then is filtered through the trees. But this morning was beautiful.

Happy #fungifriday 🍄 I was out hiking last week and took some mushroom photos. The emphasis was on photography. Not on foraging or identifying. Mushrooms are great photography subjects.

Fall is coming quick. Still not full color but certainly some nice color out there. Lots of slashes of color like this red. Not perfect but nice none the less. Granite rock with moss under the leaf cover.
