Birch Bolete

Nice shot of a birch bolete... probably 馃槄 unless its one of the mushrooms I regularly forage my IDs are iffy. But I had a few good mushroom photos so I thought I would do a post.

Inkcap

Most of these shots are from around my yard. This inkcap is growing in the yard near my garden.

Inkcap details

Fun texture on its cap.

Puffballs

Puffballs are always easy to find around here. Some of these have either "puffed" already or been sampled by the local birds.

Oyster?

I believe these are oyster mushrooms which I sometimes forage but my foraging expert wasn't along when I took this photo.

Emerging mushrooms

Emerging mushrooms in the yard between mowings 馃檪 they are low enough to have survived the last time I mowed.

Inkcap

A nice photo of an inkcap. These were growing near the emerging mushrooms in the last photo but not sure they are the same type.

Decaying inkcap

These inkcaps are past their prime and decaying in the wet weather.

Emerging through pine needles

sketch.and.jam@sketch.and.jam I do have some pine trees with needle covered ground beneath them. I think I have seen amanitas under here before...

Shaggy mane

But these are shaggy mane.

Lawn mushroom

Didn't get good enough photos for an easy ID on this yard mushroom.

Mushrooms and leaves

There are lots of them mixed in with the leaves under some river birch trees.

Turkeytail

An easy ID that is ever present in the woods around my house is the turkeytail. They have nice photogenic patterns 馃槉

Have a happy #mushroommonday 馃崉
