Fog is common this time of year in Vermont. Our walk was early enough the sun hadn't burned off the fog. But it was actually cloudy for much of the day anyway. I'm already not liking the sun being so low

I caught one last afternoon of great fall colors. The wall of color was incredible. The reflection almost indistinguishable from the actual mountain.

Out for a chilly walk this morning to the lake. I got a pleasant surprise. The dock I complained about in yesterday's post was finally out of the water 🙂

Crisp, cold morning in Vermont. The lake had some low lying fog. The surface was flat and reflecting the mountains. The low light was a challenge but that also reflects this time of year in Vermont.

Rudbekia is still hanging on. At least the ones in the beds I haven't cleared out yet 😆 Some rudbekia has faded. Other is holding its color but looking pretty rough.

This morning it was 28F. Thats the first hard freeze of the year. Well I'm counting it. It was definitely a good frost. We have a short growing season of about 150 days. From mid-May to early October.

Yesterday was a typical Fall day in Vermont. The weather was changing all day long. Warm south wind in the morning. Switched to cold north wind in the afternoon. Showers coming and going.

Steady rain all day today then cold temperatures tomorrow. Tough weather for those of us trying to enjoy Fall. I went through my photos for a few I haven't posted.
