Here are some scenes from a lake walk for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
Down at the lake I finally started seeing this year's batch of baby turtles. This little guy was only about the size of a half dollar coin.
Farther out in the lake I saw a baby snapping turtle about the same size as the red eared slider above.
Out in the middle of the lake the large granddaddy turtle was milling around looking for dead fish to scavenge.
Here's another maybe year old baby red eared slider climbing onto the good to do a bit of sunbathing.
Here are some middle aged turtles basking on the premium log space. Sometimes these logs get completely covered in turtles looking for space to sunbathe.
I managed to focus the camera through the reeds on the turtles. They really pack in tight together, I'm surprised they didn't slide back in as they were watching me closely trying to get a bead on them with the zoom lens.
Now for a random duck butt.
Here is a super aggressive red-winged black bird proud of his new sign.
Now its time to walk back home through the tunnel. Now that everything is green this white tunnel picks up the plant reflections pretty well inside.
It's starting to get hot and muggy over here, I bet this plane is flying off north with vacationers heading to cooler temperatures. Upper peninsula here I come...
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
