Hello Hivers
As the times progress, there are many types of food on the market that are enough to make us tempted when we see them, but some cakes or traditional foods are no less interesting to try, some of them are even quite famous today, as I will share this time for example, at our place this cake has been around since ancient times and is known as boh rom-rom or klepon cake, the taste and texture of this cake is quite soft and you can get a lot of it during the month of Ramadan like now
This cake itself consists of several types of fillings, such as granulated sugar, palm sugar and also has a different taste,Many dominated by tubers
And what I will share this time is boh rom-rom sweet potato , with sugar filling in it, for more details, let's start the following discussion.
MAIN INGREDIENTS
That's all the ingredients we need, for the water, prepare 10 ml of warm water to stir the dough, and prepare a pot of water to boil this cake later, for more details, let's look at the following steps
step 1
First, peel the yams and cut them into small pieces, then wash them thoroughly and boil them until all the yams are soft, here I deliberately used purple yams to make this cake look more attractive, as well as being a natural coloring for this cake
step 2
After the sweet potato is perfectly cooked, wait for it to cool then mash all the sweet potato into a smooth paste as shown in the last picture, and try not to grind any of the sweet potato fiber, because that will slightly affect the taste of this cake later
step 3
Next, shave the coconut and don't get the coconut shell on it, it will ruin the color and appearance of this cake, use old coconut to make it easier for us to work with, even here I did it using a traditional coconut shaving tool
After that, put the glutinous rice flour and sweet potato that we have mashed into a large container, and add the salt that we have prepared
step 4
After that, add water and mix all the ingredients to make a perfect dough, and one thing to watch out for, you can adjust the water again and try to make the dough not soggy, it will make it difficult for us to round this cake later
step 5
Next, round the cake to the size you want, but before that put the sugar in it first, as I did above, after that, boil all the cakes and wait a few moments until the cake is perfect
Final steps
After the cake has risen, let it sit for a while and then put it in the grated coconut, you can also add pandan leaves when you boil this cake to make it more fragrant, and for the grated coconut, you can also add more sugar if you like it sweeter, but I didn't do that
Up here all the steps have been completed, and it's very easy isn't it, it's just that it takes quite a long time to make this cake, after that all you have to do is serve it on a plate and here is the final result of my creation
FINAL RESULTS
Well, this is the end result of this cake which is quite famous, every month of fasting there will always be many people selling this cake, even my mother also did it, regardless of the delicious and sweet taste, customs and culture are still held tightly by our people so This cake still survives until now, as far as I know this cake has existed even before I was born, and the custom of selling this cake every month of Ramadan is still going on until now
And this is special for all of you who are on #hiveblog, I feel very happy to be able to share my stories and experiences here with great people like all of you, here I can learn many things and thank you for all that, for this time it's just that that's all I can share, hope you guys like it and see you soon
