Un recorrido mágico/A magical journey 📷🌊

Hello gente de Hive! Hoy les escribo desde @hivemargarita porque les vengo a compartir unas fotitos súper lindas de un recorrido que hace bastante tiempo quería hacer, pero la flojera me había ganado, y fue hoy después de meses que me armé de valor y fui con mi familia a dar un paseo y conocer la caminería detrás del Hotel Ikin en el Cardón, municipio Antolín del Campo de nuestra isla preciosa.

Hello, Hive community! Today I'm writing to you from @hivemargarita because I want to share some really cute photos from a trip I've been wanting to take for quite some time, but laziness had gotten the better of me. Today, after months of procrastinating, I finally mustered up the courage and went with my family to take a walk and explore the trails behind the Hotel Ikin in Cardón, in the municipality of Antolín del Campo on our beautiful island.

Este es uno de los hoteles más top de la isla, de hecho es uno de los preferidos por artistas y políticos, y se encuentra ubicado a solo una cuadra de casa de mis suegros, y hoy que estuvimos de visita me animé a hacer el recorrido, y por supuesto fui con mi esposo y los niños, ya que todavía no habíamos ido a conocer la caminería, así que cruzamos la calle y caminamos hacia el hotel por una callecita llena de árboles a los lados desde la cual puedes ver al fondo la entrada del hotel.

Apenas terminas ese pequeño recorrido te encuentras con la entrada del hotel, que me parece súper linda por el diseño de su techo, pero para llegar a la caminería teníamos que seguir hasta la playa para poder pasar detrás del hotel que es donde se encuentra, y como ven, la vista es absolutamente hermosa.

This is one of the top hotels on the island, in fact it is a favorite among artists and politicians, and it is located just one block from my in-laws' house. and today, when we were visiting, I decided to take the tour. Of course, I went with my husband and children, since we hadn't yet explored the walkway. So, we crossed the street and walked toward the hotel along a small street lined with trees on both sides, from which you can see the hotel entrance in the distance.

As soon as you finish that short walk, you come to the hotel entrance, which I think is really pretty because of the design of the roof. But to get to the walkway, we had to continue on to the beach to go behind the hotel, which is where it is located, and as you can see, the view is absolutely beautiful.

Les cuento que quedé sorprendida cuando vi la zona, porque aunque es una playa que conozco desde mi adolescencia ha cambiado muchísimo gracias a que el mar ha tomado mucho terreno dejándola casi sin playa como tal, pues el mar llega en algunos lugares hasta el borde de la carretera, y precisamente esta caminería fue creada casi que por obligación, ya que fue la única manera que encontraron los dueños del hotel de mantener el mar al margen.

La verdad es que se hizo un gran trabajo, ya que se creó un muro natural con rocas enormes y se rellenó toda la zona detrás del hotel creando una caminería bastante amplia que aún está en trabajos de construcción.

I must say I was surprised when I saw the area, because although it is a beach I have known since my teenage years, it has changed a lot due to the sea taking over a lot of land, leaving it with almost no beach as such, as the sea reaches the edge of the road in some places. This walkway was created almost out of necessity, as it was the only way the hotel owners could keep the sea at bay.

The truth is that they did a great job, creating a natural wall with huge rocks and filling in the entire area behind the hotel, creating a fairly wide walkway that is still under construction.

Una parte del recorrido está protegida por un muro de contención hecho de piedras y lajas que se ve súper lindo y la vista desde ahí es simplemente hermosa, y particularmente hoy el mar estaba bellísimo, con un color muy intenso y un oleaje que creaba sobre él un continuo ir y venir de grandes bloques de espuma. La verdad un escenario mágico.

Lo más lindo del recorrido es que tienes dos vistas increíbles, ya que si miras de frente a la caminería podrás ver el mar, el cielo, y un poco más adelante al imponente "cerro guayamuri", y si miras en la dirección contraria puedes apreciar toda esa parte de la costa, lo que incluye playas como el Cardón, El Tirano, La Uva, La salina y Puerto Abajo.

Part of the trail is protected by a retaining wall made of stones and slabs that looks really nice, and the view from there is simply beautiful. Today, in particular, the sea was stunning, with a very intense color and waves that created a continuous coming and going of large blocks of foam. It was truly a magical setting.

The best part of the route is that you have two incredible views. If you look straight ahead, you can see the sea, the sky, and a little further on, the imposing "Cerro Guayamuri". If you look in the opposite direction, you can see the entire coastline, including beaches such as Cardón, El Tirano, La Uva, La Salina, and Puerto Abajo.

En una parte del recorrido nos encontramos con una pequeña ensenada que el hotel está modificando para uso de sus huéspedes, ya que crearon un semicírculo de muchas rocas y hay varias zonas en las que posiblemente ubiquen escaleras o rampas para bajar a la playa, y en uno de los lados se puede ver una gran cantidad de arena de playa lista para extenderse en toda la zona.

La verdad esto no es algo que me guste, pero muchos hoteles y restaurantes tienen esta práctica en la isla, y terminan apoderándose del sector de la playa que queda justo frente a sus estructuras físicas y no se le permite a los residentes de la zona o visitantes que no estén hospedados en el hotel o consumiendo en los restaurantes el estar en esa zona, cosa que las alcaldías y gobernación lo permiten, aunque para mí no es lo correcto, pero dejando esto de lado, disfrutamos mucho del recorrido, y de esta caminería que nos regaló vistas hermosas.

Partway along the route, we came across a small cove that the hotel is modifying for use by its guests. They have created a semicircle of rocks and there are several areas where they may install stairs or ramps to go down to the beach. On one side, you can see a large amount of beach sand ready to be spread throughout the area.

To be honest, this is not something I like, but many hotels and restaurants on the island do this, and they end up taking over the section of the beach that is right in front of their buildings. Residents of the area and visitors who are not staying at the hotel or eating at the restaurants are not allowed to be in that area, which the local authorities and the government allow, although I don't think it's right. But putting that aside, we really enjoyed the tour and the walk, which gave us beautiful views.
