Hello friends of steemit, I hope you are full of health, joy, prosperity and with the spirit to share a rich recipe. After those Christmas celebrations with relatives in the city of Mérida, Venezuela; I arrived with an immense desire to make a meal that is indigenous to our Surlaguense region, as is the fish wrapped in grated banana.
In this recipe I chose to use mana mana, a freshwater fish (rivers) native to our region, which I like very much and enjoy cooking it.
Here are the ingredients and the way I prepare the dish:
Ingredients: (recipe for 2 people)
preparation:
-We start marinating the fish with a little salt and pepper, both on the inside and outside, leaving them marinating for a few minutes.
-cut the vegetables into small pieces, place them in a saucepan with a little salt, vegetable oil, about 3 cloves of garlic, onoto and a little water. We take it to the kitchen approximately for about 10 minutes on moderate heat, When potatoes and carrots are soft, we turn it off.
-the green bananas (previously peeled) are scratched and a little oil is placed, salt and onoto
And proceed to knead it until the dough is manageable.
-Once all these steps are completed, we proceed to cut a piece of aluminum foil larger than the size of the fish and place a sheet of banana on it, cut smaller than the foil, we put a little bit of oil. We put the fish on the leaf, fill it with the vegetable stew and cover it with the mass of the grated banana making a thin layer from end to end.
At the end of this process, we wrapped the fish with the banana leaf and the aluminum foil, we took it to the oven preheated to a temperature of approximately 180ºC , for about 15 Minutes per side or until browning the banana layer.
We finished the plate and eat ...
Bon appetit, Greetings ...
