While the next chemo is already next Tuesday it is very nice to see my wife recovering a bit. Especially since she will be turning 40 year old tomorrow. That she has a little more energy also means she can share a little of the tasks that we have in our hands. Right now she took the kids to city center for a short stop, allowing me to take a short break.
I decided to put on my trail shoes and head out to the local green zone for a few paved and unpaved kilometers.
Mentally relaxing and always very nice surroundings.
With this run my weekly total came to 4 running sessions, total 38 km. On performance levels, this might be still too low, but honestly heading up to the next chemo week, I feel so much more rested and recharged compared to weeks where I was just surviving and unable to take a short break.
Mentally I am already planning new routes and found a way to keep developing and challenging myself even when I wonβt have time for a run, for example by learning both Chess aswell as Go/ Baduk at the same time (both games around 1k rating - so still learning) but refreshing to force yourself to mini break!
Better days are coming!
