Hola Hiverun Runners...
When I opened my Strava account, I was surprised to find that my last activity was in December of last year. That's a really long time ago. I thought it had only been three months since I ran, and it felt like it was just before Ramadan. But it turns out it's been half a year. So I forced myself to return to my favorite running track, GBK Stadium.
When I arrived at GBK, it was packed with young people. Not because it was Saturday night, but because there was a concert on the other side of the GBK complex. I regretted my arrival, although I eventually continued on and prayed that the main stadium wouldn't be used for a concert. Fortunately, that didn't happen. The main stadium for running was still operational and there were already a lot of people running there. Okay, I continued my mission to run. With a short exercise, I jogged. Since I was new to running, I wouldn't push my pace, I just jogged. Great, I didn't experience any unwanted things like dizziness, nausea, or even vomiting. Everything went smoothly until I finished 3 laps of the stadium, which was about 3K.
After circling the stadium three times, I spent more time on the sidelines. I checked my new content tools and read a book after my refreshment. That night I was alone, but it felt more comfortable, being alone in the crowd and not knowing anyone. It definitely felt safe too. That's why I prefer running inside the stadium rather than going somewhere else, like the side of the road. With the number of vehicles getting denser at night, I don't want to take any risks. Crime is rampant right now, so I have to be more selective about my activities. That's why I love GBK Stadium, and always...
In fact, I've rarely left the house this year, which has led to a lack of running. My workload has been so mentally and physically draining that after work, I often rest at home, to the point where I don't realize how long it's been since I've run.
