Waking up early and preparing for a run makes me excited. I recently started my running journey, and I have been doing my best to beat my personal records. For today, I have planned something big in my head - hitting a 10-kilometer run.
I woke up around 5:00 in the morning. I had my light breakfast, warm-up exercises, and set up my sports watch. After all of these, I started my warm-up walk at 5:30. A few minutes had passed, and the sun started coming out quickly - and the clouds started getting bluer.
I started feeling tired after running 3 kilometers, but all I could think about was my goal of reaching 10 km. With the sun beating down on my whole body, I found it hard to keep going. Sweat ran down my face, but I felt great with every step.
I checked the distance I had run on my smartwatch, and seeing that I was almost at my goal felt surreal. I started feeling cramps and sore muscles in my feet, but I had to keep going.
At 8 kilometers, I decided to take a walk to give myself enough energy to push through 10km. I even bought a bottle of water from a store on my run back home.
After a few more minutes of running and walking, my smartwatch finally notified me that I had already hit 10 kilometers. I was almost home, so I felt even more excited to have my heavy breakfast, coffee, and a good day ahead. It is really nice to fuel the day by going on a run early in the morning.
