The Rotterdam Marathon last sunday was amazing but AND I had some issues with my salt levels which resulted in an amazing learning experience (and some heavy cramps).

Yesterday I did a short 4km injury check run and noticed that apart from some small pains I am good to go! Today I decided to test that a little bit doing a tempo 10km run:

My run today went in line with my trainingscamp. Felt strong, pace was maintainable and I was running with a relaxed posture.

While I am very aware that dehydration / salt deficiency takes days to correctly recover from - I also feel that I am just a recovery period away from getting back on track.
It doesn’t matter if we fail the first, 5th or 17th time - but moreso how do we get back up! I am back up and feel ready to rumble :)

I am in no rush, but also feel I had the best trainingscamp in all my running years, I came out of the run without any real injuries and my fighting spirit is strong! so when my salt levels are good again I will be excited to go for another try!
