Hello Foodies,
How are you all? I hope you are all doing well and that life is going beautifully for you. Today I am excited to share a delicious homemade Chocolate Brownies recipe with you all.
Actually, I had been craving brownies for the last few days.
A few days ago, I watched a video of brownies, and after watching it, I suddenly felt like making them too. Sometimes when we see delicious food, our craving becomes even stronger! I kept thinking about making brownies for three or four days, but somehow I did not get the chance.
Then today I had to visit a friend’s house, so I thought I should take something homemade with me. I decided to make brownies and take them along. This was the perfect opportunity to satisfy my craving as well as share something delicious with my friend. So, let me share the complete recipe with you.
Ingredients
For the brownies, I used:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
A little salt
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 eggs
½ cup sugar
½ cup oil
½ cup water
A little vanilla essence
Chocolate chunks or chocolate chips for topping
For the Chocolate Sauce
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon butter
Sugar according to taste
Preparing the Dry Ingredients
First, I took one cup of all-purpose flour in a bowl. Then I added about one tablespoon of baking powder, a little salt, and around three tablespoons of cocoa powder.I mixed all these ingredients together and then sifted them properly through a sieve.
Sifting is very important because it removes lumps and helps the dry ingredients mix evenly. So, after sifting the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, I kept the bowl aside.
Preparing the Egg Mixture
Next, I took three eggs in another bowl and beat them well. Then I slowly added ½ cup of sugar little by little while continuing to beat the eggs. I kept mixing until the mixture became light and foamy.Once the eggs became nice and foamy, I added a little vanilla essence.
After that, I took the same large measuring cup that I had used for the flour. I filled half of it with oil and half with water. So, I added ½ cup oil and ½ cup water to the egg mixture and mixed everything well.
Making the Brownie Batter
Now it was time to add the dry ingredients.I slowly added the sifted flour and cocoa mixture to the egg mixture. I added it gradually and gently mixed everything together with a light hand.
Keep mixing until the batter becomes smooth and reaches the right consistency. There is no need to mix it too roughly.
At this stage, the chocolate smell was already so delicious, and I was really looking forward to tasting the brownies
Preparing the Baking Pan
For baking, I used a round baking pan.First, I greased the pan properly with some oil. Then I poured the brownie batter into the pan and spread it evenly.
After that, I gently tapped the baking pan on the kitchen shelf two or three times. This helps remove extra air bubbles from the batter.I also added some chocolate chunks and chocolate chips on top. You can add whatever you like according to your taste. You can also add nuts if you want.
Baking the Brownies
Before baking, make sure your oven is properly preheated to 180°C.I placed the baking pan in the preheated oven and baked the brownies for around 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, I took the brownies out and checked whether they were fully cooked. You can use a toothpick or a knife to check the center. Insert it into the middle of the brownies, and if it comes out without wet batter, your brownies are ready.
In my case, my brownies were perfectly cooked after 30 minutes.I took them out of the oven and kept them aside for a while so they could cool down. But I wanted my brownies to be extra moist and juicy, so I decided to make a simple chocolate sauce for them.
Making the Chocolate Sauce
For the chocolate sauce, I took ½ cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of butter, and some sugar according to my taste.I added everything to a pan and cooked it together while stirring continuously.
I cooked the mixture until it became slightly thick and smooth. It should not become too thick; just cook it until it reaches a nice, slightly creamy consistency.
Once my chocolate sauce was ready, I turned the brownie cake upside down.I did this because I wanted the sauce to be absorbed properly. The back side of the cake can absorb more sauce, which helps make the brownies extra moist and juicy.
So, I carefully turned the cake over and poured the chocolate sauce all over the back side. I spread the sauce nicely so that the cake could absorb it properly. After adding the chocolate sauce, I left the brownies aside for a little while. Then I placed them in the refrigerator for about one hour.
After one hour, I took them out of the fridge and checked them. The brownies had absorbed the chocolate sauce beautifully. They were soft, moist, and very juicy, exactly the way I wanted them
Enjoying the Brownies With My Friend
After that, I cut the brownies into pieces.
Unfortunately, I could not show you a picture of the cut brownies. As I mentioned earlier, I had made these brownies to take to my friend’s house. If I had cut them at home just to take a picture, the beautiful look of the whole brownie cake would have been ruined. So, I took the whole brownie cake with me to my friend’s house, and we cut and enjoyed it there.
And believe me, they were absolutely delicious! My friend loved them so much. She kept praising the brownies and finally asked me to share the recipe with her too.I told her, “You should join Ecency. I am sharing the complete recipe there, so you can get the recipe from my post.”
I was really happy that she enjoyed something I had made at home. For me, sharing homemade food with friends and family makes cooking even more special.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.
Thank you so much for reading, and see you in my next recipe.
