Festive Friends,
It's that time of the year when Krispy Kreme bring out their Christmas donuts. I was looking forward to see what was being released. This donut wasn't top of my list, but it's a gift. Let's see if it's the gift that keeps on giving.

I wasn't sure what to expect with a marshmallow filled donut. I expected it to be airy and a bit rubbery with a chemical taste. The reason why I expected something like this is because I've had quite a few of their very different flavoured donuts and that's the kind of off chemical taste I usually get. I've had it with a strawberry one, a vimto one and even a cherry one. They were so gross, especially the vimto and cherry donuts. I ended up putting them in the bin after a couple of bites. They were that bad. This one however was much better than expected. The centre was very white and silky. It didn't really taste of much like a marshmallow. I got the taste of their white kreme that they have done in many donuts. That was a blessing as it was a donut I could eat and enjoy, rather than pull a face and end up putting it in the rubbish.
I really liked the look of the donut. The red shiny icing was nice. Shame that wasn't flavoured. I think a raspberry icing or strawberry icing would have been nice. This donut was ok. Not sure I would go back for another one though.
