I usually write short stories and rarely try to do it in installments. But it occurred to me that I could try to see how a sequel to one of the stories I've written in recent months would work, so I decided to do a poll and ask which one you think would be best suited for a sequel (or a prequel, perhaps).
The choice would be between the following:
The Truth Beneath the Tides [Eng+Spa] La verdad bajo la marea: A science fiction and social commentary story in which members of a race of fire ifrits discover facts that contradict the Council of Rulers, leading them to a desperate situation but also prompting them to share the discovered information with the rest of their race, while the group's leader does everything he can to save at least some of his companions.
They call him Last Light [Eng+Spa] Lo apodan Última Luz: A story that blends mystery and fantasy in a steampunk world, where a mysterious agent moves through a technologically steam-powered city fulfilling various contracts, only to discover that the agent himself is an extraordinary creature.
Too many people [Eng+Spa] Demasiada gente: In an underground refuge city, after a cataclysm, a resident begins to despair upon realizing that the city is headed for ruin and that his only viable path seems to be escaping the madmen who govern and the naive souls who continue blithely marching toward disaster, knowing that those who tried to warn people earlier have already been silenced or eliminated.
The Reports Were Bad 👽 [Eng+Spa] Los informes eran malos. 📰: A science fiction story in which, on a distant planet, a human base is attacked by a hostile alien hive mind, forcing the accidental base commander to take desperate measures for the survival of what remains of the base personnel and to try to confront the invaders, even though he knows that executing his plan will cost him his own life.
There are other stories, but I'm not sure how I could continue their narratives, so I limited myself to these options. If, in addition to voting in the poll, you have any suggestions, you can leave them in the comments section at the end of this post.
This is the first time I've conducted a poll using the built-in tool in the Ecency platform's editor interface, so I suppose I can also consider it a learning experience for myself (😀). I've scheduled the poll to close next Sunday, June 22nd, at noon.

Yo suelo escribir historias cortas y rara vez trato de hacerlo por entregas de capítulos. Pero se me ha ocurrido que podría intentar ver cómo queda una continuación de alguno de los cuentos que he escrito en los últimos meses, así que me decidí por hacer una encuesta y preguntar cuál creen que sería el que le quedaría mejor una continuación (o una precuela, tal vez).

The Truth Beneath the Tides [Eng+Spa] La verdad bajo la marea: Historia de ciencia ficción y crítica social, en que miembros de una raza de ifrits de fuego descubren hechos que contradicen al Consejo de gobernantes, lo que los lleva a una situación desesperada, pero también a buscar compartir la información descubierta a todo el resto de su raza, mientras el jefe del grupo hace todo lo que puede para salvar por lo menos a una parte de sus compañeros.

Too many people [Eng+Spa] Demasiada gente: En una ciudad refugio bajo tierra, luego de un cataclismo, un poblador comienza a desesperarse al entender que la ciudad va directo a la ruina y que su único camino viable pareciera ser escapar de los locos que gobiernan y de los ingénuos que siguen alegremente caminando al desastre, sabiendo que los que han tratado de alertar antes a la gente ya han sido silenciados o eliminados.
The Reports Were Bad 👽 [Eng+Spa] Los informes eran malos. 📰: Historia de ciencia ficción en la que, en un planeta lejano, una base humana es atacada por una mente colmena hostil y alienígena, obligando al accidental jefe de la base a tomar medidas desesperadas para la supervivencia de lo que queda del personal de la base y para tratar de enfrentar a los invasores, aunque sabe que al ejecutar su plan su propia vida no podrá continuar.
Hay otros cuentos, pero no estoy seguro de cómo podría continuar sus historias, así que me limité a estas opciones. Si, además del voto en la encuesta, tienes alguna sugerencia, puedes pasar por la caja de comentarios al final de esta publicación.
Esta es la primera vez que hago una encuesta usando la herramienta integrada desde la interfaz del editor de la plataforma Ecency, así que supongo que también le puedo considerar un post de aprendizaje para mí mismo (😀).
