La Banda seguía quieta y a la vez la transmisión seguía mostrando la habitación, desde un ángulo muy perfecto, el productor se levantó y de inmediato preguntó —¿Dónde está Lucas?— pero nadie sabía nada, todos buscaban en cada lugar e incluso alguna señal que explicara cómo Lucas había desaparecido, mientras que la puerta seguía cerrada y las ventanas estaban bloqueadas. En ese momento una de las computadoras se encendió y mostraba a Lucas en una habitación blanca y frente a él había un hombre cuyo rostro permanecía oculto por la oscuridad y en ese momento todos gritaron de la emoción.
Lucas levantó la mirada, pero parecía que respiraba con dificultad y estaba atado a la silla, donde el hombro que estaba frente a Lucas habló —Eso es lo que ocurre cuando alguien intenta borrar un recuerdo que nunca le perteneció por completo— en ese momento una de las cámaras se movió y enfocó al hombre que estaba allí y en ese momento el productor lo reconoció y quedó totalmente sorprendido por lo que vio, ya que ese hombre murió hace siete años. Pero ocurrió algo que hizo que todas las pantallas de ese lugar se encendieran y en la primera apareció una fecha 17 DE OCTUBRE DE 2019, en la segunda una lista de nombres, la tercera una fotografía antigua de la compañía y en la cuarta apareció un mensaje escrito en letras rojas: SUJETO 01: MICHELLE, SUJETO 02: EL PRODUCTOR, SUJETO 03: LUCAS.
The band remained motionless while the broadcast continued to show the room from a perfect angle; the producer stood up and immediately asked, "Where is Lucas?" but no one knew anything. Everyone searched everywhere—looking even for a clue to explain how Lucas had vanished—while the door remained shut and the windows were blocked. Just then, one of the computers turned on, showing Lucas in a white room facing a man whose face was shrouded in darkness; at that moment, everyone shouted in excitement.
Lucas looked up, appearing to struggle for breath as he sat strapped to a chair; the man facing him spoke: "That is what happens when someone tries to erase a memory that never fully belonged to them." One of the cameras shifted to focus on the man, and the producer recognized him—stunned by what he saw, for the man had died seven years earlier. Then, something happened that caused every screen in the room to light up: the first displayed the date OCTOBER 17, 2019; the second, a list of names; the third, an old photograph of the company; and the fourth showed a message in red letters: SUBJECT 01: MICHELLE, SUBJECT 02: THE PRODUCER, SUBJECT 03: LUCAS.
Toda la banda se asustó y por eso quisieron salir de ese lugar, pero no había maneras de salir, pero de inmediato una voz señaló —RECUERDO NECESARIO PARA CONTINUAR— el productor recordó la fecha del 17 de octubre de 2019, donde ese día había firmado un documento que jamás debió aceptar y allí aparecía el nombre de Lucas, pero Lucas aún seguía atrapado y ese hombre le mostró una foto de la Banda de hace años, donde todos estaban sonriendo menos Luca, el rostro de Michelle estaba cubierto de sangre. Lucas aseguró que no estaba en ese momento y el hombre señaló —La compañía no estudiaba las vidas de las personas, lo que realmente buscaban era descubrir si podían registrar un recuerdo, extraerlo de una persona y transferirlo a otra— con esas palabras Lucas sintió miedo.
En ese momento las luces se apagaron y en medio de la oscuridad, una voz idéntica a la de Lucas susurró junto a su oído —Por fin nos han vuelto a reunir— esos mimos estaba pasando con las fotografías de Michelle donde cada detalle hacía que se pareciera más y ella negaba haber estado allí en ese lugar. Sin embargo, toda la banda tenía que comprender y es que alguno de ustedes ya tiene siete años trabajando para la compañía sin saberlo y en ese momento el teléfono del productor vibró resultando ser una fotografía reciente de todos los integrantes de la banda dentro de aquella habitación. El productor miró detalladamente la fotografía y había una persona más que llevaba la misma ropa que Lucas, además de la fotografía apareció un mensaje NO BUSQUEN AL LUCAS QUE DESAPARECIÓ donde todos voltearon y junto a la puerta, un integrante de la banda permanecía completamente quieto, con la mirada fija en el suelo. El productor lo conocía desde hacía años y allí todas las computadoras se apagaron a la vez.
The whole band was frightened and wanted to leave the place, but there was no way out; suddenly, a voice announced: "MEMORY REQUIRED TO CONTINUE." The producer recalled October 17, 2019—the day he had signed a document he never should have accepted—and remembered that Lucas’s name appeared on it. Yet Lucas was still trapped there, and the man showed him a photo of the band from years ago; everyone was smiling except Lucas, and Michelle’s face was covered in blood. Lucas insisted he hadn't been there at the time, but the man explained, "The company didn't study people's lives; what they really wanted to find out was if they could record a memory, extract it from one person, and transfer it to another." Those words filled Lucas with fear.
Just then, the lights went out, and in the darkness, a voice identical to Lucas’s whispered right next to his ear: "We’ve finally been reunited." The same thing was happening with the photos of Michelle; every detail made her look more like the person in the picture, even though she denied ever having been there. However, the band had to face the truth: one of them had already been working for the company for seven years without realizing it. At that moment, the producer’s phone vibrated; it was a recent photo of all the band members inside that very room. The producer examined the photo closely and noticed an extra person wearing the same clothes as Lucas. Along with the photo came a message: "DO NOT LOOK FOR THE LUCAS WHO DISAPPEARED." Everyone turned around to see a band member standing perfectly still by the door, staring fixedly at the floor. The producer had known him for years—and then, all the computers shut down at once.
