Hi bloggers and food lovers! I hope you’re all having a great day. August is almost over, time really flies. Today I’m sharing my end-of-the-month lunch menu: I made spicy fried kwetiaw with simple toppings I had in the fridge. Okay, let’s get right to it.
Ingredients:
500 grams of kwetiaw
2 tbsp ground spice paste (shallots, garlic, ground chili, and candlenuts, blended together)
3 shrimp
1 handful of bean sprouts
1 head of Chinese cabbage
1 egg
3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tbsp salted soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp salt
50 ml water
Instructions:
Heat the cooking oil and sauté the spice paste in a pan
Add the chopped Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts
Crack in 1 egg and stir-fry until half-cooked
Seasoning with ground black pepper and garlic powder
Add salt and sweet soy sauce and salted soy sauce to the pan
Add the kwetiaw to the pan
Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the kwetiaw
Adjust the seasoning to taste, once it’s just right, remove from heat and serve on a plate
Spicy fried kwetiaw is ready to eat
